Admission Process & Eligibility Criteria
Here’s how students can secure admission at CUG, and what the eligibility norms are:
- Test through the Conduct of the Entrance Exam
- For the students who are appearing for the Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate (PG) courses, they must pass CUET (Common University Entrance Test), which is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
- Candidates have to apply through the online portal for admission.
- Eligibility Criteria
- UG Courses: Candidates must have passed 12th grade from a recognised board. Candidates from the general category typically require a minimum aggregate of 50%, with relaxation for SC/ST/OBC candidates.
- PG Courses: A relevant bachelor’s degree from a recognised university, often with minimum aggregate marks (like 50% or more; again, relaxations for reserved categories). CUET-PG score is required.
- PhD / M.Phil Programmes: Applicants should have a Master’s degree (or equivalent) and fulfil subject / department-specific requirements. CUET and/or other eligibility (like NET / UGC, etc.) may apply depending on the discipline.
- Counselling / Merit Lists
- After the results of CUET, CUG announces a merit list and the process of counselling or registration is done through the portal.
- Candidates who are selected must pay fees and must be ready for the document verification within the mentioned deadlines.
- Reservation & Relaxation
- Government regulations are there for reservation for the categories fall under (SC / ST / OBC / EWS / PwD) can apply.
Scholarships & Financial Assistance

Ans. First, appear for the CUET (UG) exam by NTA. Once results are out, register for admission/counselling via CUG’s admission portal during the specified window. Then, fill out preferences, do document verification, fee payment, and confirm your seat as per merit list.
