What Has Changed in CUET PG 2026 Exam City Rules

  • The updated regulation regarding the choosing of the exam city gives significant comfort to candidates, particularly those coming from remote areas or places with a high concentration of applicants.
  • Whereas candidates were allowed to choose fewer options earlier, they can now indicate four preferred exam cities.
  • The locality of the exam cities chosen should normally be the same as the state of the permanent or current address as per the application.
  • NTA will determine the exam city based on:
    • The availability of examination centers
    • Administrative feasibility
    • Candidates preference order
  • The final city where the candidate will appear for the exam may be any one of the four choices.
  • It is not possible to change the exam city after the release of the admit card if the exam city has already been allotted.

What Candidates Should Remember for Exam City Allotment

  • Choosing the exam city is not a confirmation that you will be assigned to your first choice.
  • By applying early, you can get a city that you like.
  • There may no longer be a vacancy in the most demanded cities.
  • Applicants are advised to pick cities with good connectivity.
