Selection & Evaluation Process
Candidates will go through a 3 stages selection process to be considered for final appointment:
- Preliminary exam – online objective test to shortlist candidates
- Mains exam – objective and descriptive test to evaluate core competencies
- Psychometric and personality assessment – includes a psychometric test, group excercise (20 marks) and a personal interview (30 marks)
- Final merit list – prepared by normalisation of phase II and Phase III marks to 100 marks scale (75:25 ratio).
Note: Phase I marks are not added to final merit list.

Candidates must follow these steps to make sure that registration is valid and accepted by bank:
- Scan a recent colour photograph, black ink signature, left thumb impression and hand written declaration.
- Go to the SBI careers website and click on “Click here for New Registration” to generate a provisional ID and password.
- Enter the personal, academic and contact details carefully as category changes are not permitted after the submission.
- Upload the digital images of the required documents and a live photograph.
- Complete the transaction through the payment gateway and print a e-reciept for your records.
