Babu Banarasi Das University (BBDU) came into existence on the foundation of the Babu Banarasi DasUniversity Act of 2010. Established in commemoration of the legacy of Babu Banarasi Das.  Akhilesh Das is the founder of this institution. BBDU is Lucknow’s first practice-oriented university. In the 2025 NIRF rankings BBDU is yet to be counted but it’s easily touted in the top emerging private universities in India by IIRF and a private rankings system.
