Central Sanskrit University (CSU), formerly known as Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan, is a central university under the Ministry of Education, Government of India. It was established in 1970 and converted to central university status by the Central Sanskrit Universities Act, 2020. Its headquarters is in New Delhi, and it is multi-campus, with many campuses across the country. The university has the distinction of being the only multi-campus Sanskrit language university in India and is one of the largest in this field. It is accredited by NAAC with Grade A++ and offers a range of programs.

Ans. Prak-Shastri is the foundational level program, roughly equivalent to 10+2, often requiring a 10th-grade pass. Shastri is a 3-year bachelor-equivalent level after Prak-Shastri or +2, with Sanskrit as the key subject.
