CU Kashmir Admission Process: A Step-by-Step Guide

The admission process at CU Kashmir is mainly through the  national-level entrance tests. Follow these steps to secure your admission:

  • Students must take the appropriate entrance exam for their chosen program. This typically includes  CUET UG or CUET PG. However, for the  PhD programs, candidates must have a valid UGC/CSIR NET score or appear in the university’s entrance test.
  • After the declaration of results, all the students who gets selected must fill out the online application form with correct details and upload all required documents.
  • The university will then release the merit lists, which are based on the entrance exam scores of the students.
  • The candidates who are shortlisted will be called for counselling and document verification.  
  • Selected candidates must pay the required admission fees for the confrimation of their seats. 

Academic Criteria

  • The foremost and main requirement for undergraduate programs is to have passed the 10+2 (or equivalent) examination from a recognised board.
  • For most programs, a minimum of 50% aggregate marks is required for general category students, with a 45% relaxation for reserved categories (OBC, SC, ST, PWD).
